ABOUT

EXCELLENCE AND CRAFTSMANSHIP
MASTERFUL ARTISTRY
CUSTOMIZED WOODWORK

From a young age I have built things out of wood. This was facilitated by my father who was a do it yourself / hobbyist woodworker and had a garage full of tools and materials. In addition, my grandfather was an “old school” master carpenter who learned the trade in the days before power tools. He saw to it that I had the necessary hand tools and knew how to use and service them.
When people would ask me what I wanted to do when I grew up, I would say that I wanted to be a carpenter, until I learned that there was a specialty trade called cabinet making. From that time on I aspired to be a cabinetmaker.
During my high school years I did cabinet and furniture projects for friends and neighbors. After graduation I went to work for a local cabinet shop. I have worked my entire career as a cabinet maker or in other related construction
trades.

My passion for my work and learning new skills continues to this day. I have been self-employed as a licensed contractor with a cabinet making / mill working classification for the last 33 years. I specialize in high end residential cabinet work for both new construction and remodeling. I typically work as a team member on these projects along with the architect, designer, builder, and other subcontractors. I also do projects where I design and build, filling many of these roles myself. I have embraced the challenges of my changing industry and have incorporated the advantages of computer technology and modern machinery without losing hold of my “old school” training.
